8 months and moving!
Emma has learned how to pull herself up on EVERYTHING! She loves getting into anything that is within her reach and always has a beautiful smile on her face when you stop her fun :) When we have time, she loves to go swimming when the weather is warm, and still loves it when Mommy takes her for walks. Her two little teeth are about halfway in and you can see them when she smiles now. We're going on a couple of trips this coming month. We'll keep you updated! And as always, check out photos at

I'm Six months old!
Well, Emma is 6 months old now and is starting to sit on her own. I just posted some more pictures to shutterfly of the little cutie. Anyway, Emma is attempting to play Xbox 360 right now (seriously, she is holding the controller and pushing buttons), so I've got to go.

When Emma went to her 6-month check-up, we were told that she is a very healthy baby. She currently weighs 14lbs., 1oz, and is 26.5 inches long! She can roll over, sit up, and even crawl a little (we're still working on keeping her head up). She is getting so big, and starting to discover things on her own, especially what she shouldn't be getting her hand on...

A 5 month update
With another month behind us, we just can't believe how big Emma is getting. She seems to have more of Daddy's genes than Mommy's since she's not doubling in length like all of the Borgman's did. Emma still fits into her 3 month clothes, although some of them are getting a little short. We're watching her learn how to sit by herself, although she's still a little top heavy, and she can move up onto all fours very easily, but the crawling isn't quite there yet.
Now that the sun is shining more, Emma LOVES going on walks, looking at all the bright colors and the birds flying by. She gets to hang out with her Aunts and Grandma when Mommy and Daddy are working, and we can't thank them enough for all their help. Pretty soon, she will be 1/2 a year old and we can't wait to watch her grow even more!!

Emma is four months old!!
I took Emma to her four month check-up and learned that she is doing great! Emma weighed in at 11lbs, 5oz and was 25.5 inches long! She received more of her vaccines, (this time she screamed :() and all-in-all received a good bill of health.
We've had a lot of fun the last couple of months. With Christmas and New Year's behind us, we're looking forward to what 2009 will bring our family. We enjoy watching Emma grow and get stronger, she can lift and turn her head quite well, but still hasn't figured out how to roll over or sit up. She will scoot around on her belly for a little while, but loses interest rather quickly (she really does enjoy being held...). We can't wait until it warms up a bit more (although it has been near 70 degrees most of the month) so we can take a few trips; Emma really does enjoy being outside.
Mommy is finally getting a bit more sleep, Emma usually only wakes up once during the night now :) and is more alert and awake during the day. With Mommny working again, Daddy gets to spend more time with Emma alone, and that has been quite the learning experience for him. We hope that you head over to our shutterfly site and take a look at the recent pictures of Emma, she's so cute!

2 month check-up
Emma went to her 2 month check-up and boy has she grown! She is now 9lbs, 9oz and 23.5 inches long. She has much better control of her head, as you can see from the pictures, and is working on her upper body strength by leaning up on her arms. She is much more alert and very into checking out her surroundings, she'd much rather be moving around than sitting in one place. We are doing much better about having her sleep in her crib and she can sometimes sleep up to 5 hours! We can't wait for her first Christmas, it's going to be a very exciting time for us.

The first month
Emma has been at home for a month now and we see so many changes in her personality, and size, already. She is definitely getting bigger. We have to wait another month before we see her doctor again, but the onesies shes been wearing are getting tight in the length. She is really starting to lift and move her head around, she can hold it up for more than a few seconds, as well as move it from side to side all on her own. She is starting to sleep for stretches of about three hours, but still doesn't like her crib much, and pretty much hates sleeping on her back. Mommy is starting to feel more comfortable taking her out to run errands and such, although it's a lot to do on her own, but enjoys getting out of the apartment.
We had fun taking pictures of her on her first Halloween, although we couldn't take her trick-or-treating yet... We are looking forward to the next month and celebrating her first Thanksgiving with family. Don't forget to check out our link to shutterfly where we have posted a bunch of new pictures!

2 week update!
Emma had her two week check up today and we are happy to announce that she now weighs 6lbs and 10oz! She gained a whole pound since her last visit. She was measured at 20.25 inches long and the Dr. says she is doing well. Mommy and Daddy are also doing well, Emma wakes every couple of hours at night and will sometimes sleep for a few hours in the crib (away from Mommy and Daddy), but the extra sleep is usually made up for during the day :) Our next appointment is not for another two months, but in the meantime, Mommy is getting a little stir crazy sitting at home...

11 weeks to go!!!
Now that I'm really starting to finally LOOK pregnant, I'm starting to feel pregnant as well. When I sit down and rest for awhile, she'll start rolling and moving around, also sometime's at night when I'm trying to sleep... I get to see my Doctor every two weeks now and things are still looking great everytime I go!

We have the crib and dresser set up, just waiting for Emma to put them to use. We're all looking forward to my baby shower at the end of the month so that we can see everyone
